FAQ

Q:  Where are you located?
A:  I live in the Hills District of Sydney but travel locally, interstate and internationally.
Q:  Do you have your own studio?
A:  I am currently in the planning stages of a beautiful cottage studio which will be built in Arcadia in 2013.
Q:  Do you travel?
A:  Yes absolutely.  I love to travel and love to explore new locations when ever possible!
Q:  How much is a portrait session?
A:  Portrait sessions are priced at $200.  This fee includes your on-location shoot, my time, editing of images and your viewing.  Prints and products are extra.  The retainer of $200 is required within 48 hours of your booking to secure your appointment.
Q:  What happens if it is raining?
A:  If it is raining or it looks like it will rain we can reschedule the session for a date that suits both you and I.  Or if you feel adventurous you can put on some gumboots and come and play in the puddles with me!  One of my all time favourite portraits was taken in the rain!
Q:  What should I wear to my portrait session?
A: Firstly you should be comfortable.  Wear something that you personally love and that flatters your body shape.  As a photographer I assume that the clothes you wear to a session are clothes that you like the way you look in so I will not be focused on how your jacket fits, I will however be focused on how you connect with your loved ones.  Bring a few options in case you are unsure.
Q:  Do you have any suggestions for dressing a family for our shoot?
A: Yes!  Try to avoid colours and patterns that clash.  Shirts with bold logos and patterns should be avoided if possible.  If you are dressing a number of family members try to think of all the clothes as one outfit.  Instead of matching everyone in white shirts and jeans chose a colour theme and mix it amongst each family member.  For example, if you were having a winter session you could choose neutral tones like brown, cream, green & orange and then mix those colours so everyone looks different but is in the same colour theme.
Q:  How long does a portrait session take?
A:  I typically spend between 1 – 2 hours at a portrait session.  While for newborn sessions I can spend up to 3-4 hours depending on the baby’s sleeping pattern.
Q:  When do we get to see our photos?
A:  The images from your portrait session will be ready for you to preview in approximately 14 days. You have the option of seeing them in person in my home studio or online over a period of 5 days.
Q:  Do you offer birth announcement cards?
A:  Yes!  We have lots of different designs that incorporate your favourite images from your newborn session and can be customised with your own wording.
Q:  Do you sell the files?
A:  Yes, we just started offering Digital Files as part of our product range.
Q:  Describe your style
A:  My style is fresh, uncomplicated and sentimental.  I prefer to shoot in the great outdoors surrounded by mother nature wether it be a field, a beach or a garden.
Q:  What sort of equipment do you use?
A:  I use Canon pro gear exclusively.  I shoot with a Canon 1ds MKII and a variety of L Series lenses.
