L’Enfants: Easter Sessions

Last year I styled and shot several mini sessions for an Easter concept idea that I had been marinating for a while.  I spent a few weeks sourcing props, making bunting flags, tasting easter eggs (hey it was all in the name of research!), I even sourced some adorable two week old chickens!  My clients ended up with the cutest photo books and products for Easter, I couldn’t wait to send them off to their new owners.

As I was in the middle of having my blog designed around the time of these sessions I wanted to wait to preview them until after the blog was up and running.  Given that it’s Easter in two days time I figure that the perfect moment to share these photos has finally arrived. Yay!

Designing and creating styled sessions is one of my favourite things to do as an artist.  Before I was a photographer I was involved in the entertainment industry, I wrote short films, I directed them, I modeled in magazines and I acted in theatre as well as in tv commercials.  To say I have theatre blood running through my veins is an understatement. These days life has become my stage but it still requires a little set dressing from time to time.  Cue styling!  Taking this direction with my photography is a great artistic outlet for me and it reignights my passion for the visual arts all over again.

These are just a few of my favourite images that featured in my client’s custom made Easter Albums. If you are interested in a styled session please get in touch with me, I’m overflowing with ideas at the moment. BTW, no chickens were harmed in this shoot, they are now living comfortably in my garden in a delightful new chicken hutch, they’ve even started laying free range eggs for my family.  Bonus!
